The other day, I received a very exciting e-mail in my inbox inviting me to a “drawing potluck.”
I’d never been to a drawing potluck before, but was told that “it's a drawing night where instead of bringing food, you bring a prop to draw based on the theme.” Hosted by illustration legends, Cari Vanderyacht and Ping Zhu, I was lucky to snag a spot! The theme this time was:
Following that theme, pretty much everyone brought an iteration of a frog. Here are all the frogs hanging out:
Aside from just drawing the many fuzzy and green items, we also switched off posing so each person did about 10-15 minutes of posing. Here are my very ridiculous poses my friend Rama captured photos of so now I am unfortunately obligated to share:

I played around with some Posca markers I bought on sale a couple years ago as it didn’t irritate my hand as much although I still had to bust out my wrist brace halfway through.
