Hello, hi, it is me Lian! Isn’t the world just absolutely fucked right now?

I caught a bit of flak earlier this week for my post explaining media coverage of Israel and Palestine, mainly in the form of commenters on Instagram telling me that I had the blood of Jewish children on my hands and calling me other horrible names. Luckily, it seems someone reported the comments or they deleted it themselves because they seem to have disappeared from my posts. This is good because like the masochist I am, I kept going back, reading them, feeling bad, and closing it again. Not very healthy huh?

Anyways, I thought we could all do with little silliness in the form of minions to offset this horrible week. If you’ve been following me since the very beginning, you’ll know that this post is originally from June of last year. If you haven’t, HAH you’ve been duped!!

I’m also sad to report that I have come down with a raging cold this week. Luckily it doesn’t seem to be venturing into fever/flu/covid territory, but I sure do miss breathing out of my nose. I’ve also got that weird thing where both my ears are blocked but one more than the other? Anyways, I feel a little shit.

My sneaking suspicion is that I was kindly gifted this cold after doing my first solo school visit for a bunch of kindergarteners. My friends who have done school visits have warned me about getting sick from them so that’s why I’m blaming the tiny children. They were really adorable though so who knows, maybe I got this cold from a not as cute adult.

In some positive news to close out this newsletter, I think I finally got over writer’s block yesterday and pumped out a long outline for a story! It’s been quite a while since I’ve come up with an original story and I’m filled with the excitement and hope that any new project imbues you with. I can’t wait for the horrible come down!
