If you’ve followed me for some time, you know that I’m a little (lotta) bit of a stationery fiend.
I love buying pens and notebooks and sketchbooks and pencils and paints and stickers and washi tapes and fancy erasers and fancy sharpeners and the list goes on and on and on. I grew up in Taiwan, also known as the land of stationery and I remember feeling really sad when I came to the US because quite frankly, many of the stationery stores in the US suck ass.
That is until I found a little slice of home at Yoseka Stationery…
The original Yoseka Stationery is a multi level behemoth located in Taoyuan, Taiwan. When the son of the original owners moved to the US, he and his wife decided to bless the people of America with beautifully curated stationery in the form of a smaller Yoseka store located in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
I will admit it here: I have been visiting Yoseka religiously for a while now. Every time I went and spent way too much money, I would fangirl afterwards and share it on Instagram. This dates all the way back to 2021…
One day, when I was once again inside Yoseka spending far too much money, I was recognized by Daisy, the owner of Yoseka. My fangirling had paid off and now I was in with the cool stationery kids!!! All my incessant tagging on Instagram had led to something! Cheers for being annoying!
The next time I visited, I brought her my books for her newborn son. Since then, he’s become very attached to It Began with Lemonade and they apparently made lemonade multiple times this summer.
Fast forward, many texts and chats later, Daisy invited me to come into their studio to film an episode of their Youtube series called “Inside my Pencase.”
FINALLY, it was my time to SHINE!! So I brought only a small selection of my stationery, which was still evidently too much:
The episode just came out, and you can watch it below! It’s a fun casual chat about stationery and I share my failed planner attempts as well.
Big shoutout to Yoseka Stationery for filming such a wonderful video and giving me a chance to gush about stationery, my life long passion.
If you’re in New York, be sure to stop by their store! If you aren’t, they have an online shop where you can order amazingly adorable and great quality stationery from!
I’m sure you’ll fall in love with their goodies too… And I apologize in advance for all the money you’re going to spend.
I would say the habit comes from gene.
ahhh such a good vid!! This is just phase one ✨ dreaming of a merch or product collab next!!
