I am currently neck deep in final art for my next authored/illustrated book. It is about pigs. A lot of pigs. In fact, I think I’m going to cross the 500 pig mark for this book. Multiple people have asked me “why do you keep doing this to yourself?” and the answer to that is “I am a masochist and I also just really like painting pigs.”

In other exciting news, this week I also started working on the cover for this very insane book.
I had some ideas to begin with, but as always I reached out to my group of picture book pals for some inspiration:
And boy did they rally to help!!! Below are some covers which they sent over as inspiration for my sketches. Since I used borders as a storytelling aspect in this book, my friend Kayla brought up the idea of potential of infusing some sort of border for the cover since my story has both a classical and contemporary feel.
