So physical therapy is going well! My doctor is great, he is a funny goofy guy but also very professional and knowledgeable. He is actually very good at drawing hands. I’m only on my second week so there hasn’t been too much change yet, but I think it is helping slowly. Unfortunately because of stupid American healthcare, each session costs $75 because my stupid insurance doesn’t even cover it.
I drew these in my new sketchbook that I bought from Yoseka Stationery. It’s a little less strain to draw in my sketchbook compared to the iPad so I might just do my comics in there for now while my hand heals!
I got deeply sucked into stationery youtube this past week and ended up buying the Midori A5 Frame Journal which is the one I drew these comics in. There’s a little bit of ghosting (where the paper is slightly see through) but the feeling of the special MD paper is sooo good I’m willing to let it slide. The paper in this journal is specially designed for fountain pen ink and holds the ink I use in my fountain pen extremely well. It’s also the most pleasing shade of cream you could ask for in a sketchbook. The journal I bought is inspired by lab notes so it has a cute little frame around each page with boxes at the top for writing in titles and dates.
Hopefully you have now been ~influenced~ to buy a notebook from Yoseka too…
In case you missed it, I’ve started up paid subscriptions for this newsletter which will give you access to posts about projects I am currently working on and unable to share with the public just yet!
