Attending the Children's Institute & exploring a new city
Hi Cool Kids!
I can’t believe June is over and it’s been nearly a month since we had our wedding! This last month has been a combination of highs and lows, busy times and wayyyy too leisurely times.
In the second week of June, I was sent out to Portland, Oregon for this year’s Children’s Institute! Hosted by the American Booksellers Association, The Children’s Institute is a huge conference that happens every year for independent booksellers over the country and I was sent out to sign books and meet booksellers!
Originally, HarperCollin’s plan was to send me out for just one night which felt like a waste to me. I had never been to Portland and so I thought I may as well make a trip out of it.
First, I asked Adam if he would come with me, but alas he couldn’t because I guess he hates me (his mum had a gala she was hosting which he needed to attend). So instead, I asked my bestie Laura if she would come and she said YES because she LOVES me more than Adam I guess.
