Hi fellas, it’s been a whirlwind couple of weeks so I’m taking a bit of a break! In the meantime I’m sharing an older comic I made when I first started this newsletter that a whole bunch of you haven’t had the pleasure of reading before.
I’m sharing this comic again because I’ve had a couple instances recently where I met online friends in real life and they were SHOCKED that I was taller than they expected. One of them didn’t even recognize me because they could not get their head around the fact that I was taller than what they had pictured in their head. Oops. So here is my height reveal once again to prep you for when you eventually meet me.
After my mum read this post when I originally shared it, she told me she actually knew that I was rinsing out some of the soup. Apparently my grandma also attempted to force feed my mum bone turning soup, but my mum would run away each time and refuse to drink it. So when her own daughter (me) sat down obediently and chugged the soup, she felt bad and pretended to not notice when I poured some of it out.
As I said earlier, things have been busy as heck the past couple of weeks with the launch of my picture book! I’ll hopefully be back soon with some new comics. But for now, I hope you enjoy these older comics which I still LOVE and I doubt many of you have read before.
I was actually inspired to repost this after reading
’s post 6666 tips on how I reached 6666 subscribers on Substack. Highly recommend checking it out if you need a little reassurance that nothing matters and everything is okay!Hope you’re all doing well!
Also buy my book if you haven’t already.
I've always wondered bout this special soup too, some Chinese Malaysians took them too, as I learned when, i asked "why are you so tall?". Your sister did not take any? :)
What a lovely thing that you got your mom to share her story with you.
somehow I imagined her calling your grandma at night “we have a problem!”, and when grandma arrived you would be stuck in your room as you would be giant. Then grandma would say “I see Ill have to do a new dress then” and just calmly leave
