Oh holy cow I love all of these delightful details!! What creative and talented humans you both are! The postcards with personalized notes as placecards (sob!), and those amazing crepe paper flowers, and the wine bottle labels - ALL OF IT! I especially LOVE invitations you co-designed/illustrated. When my husband (illustrator Gareth Hinds) and I got married we attempted to co-design our invitations but ran into such a serious roadblock that Gareth wound up asking fellow designer/illustrator Scott Magoon for help. In a way that made the whole experience more memorable - but at the time it was stressful. I blogged about our big day for PW 15 years ago (!!) but it kind of feels like yesterday! https://blogs.publishersweekly.com/blogs/shelftalker/?p=503
Holy cow those flowers are amazing! You guys are an insanely skilled and creative duo woww. So glad your wedding came together beautifully despite the hitch with the venue! The collaborative and DIY aspect is so sweet and personal (and ungodly amounts of work I'm sure, much respect for the dedication!)
Wow, what a process. But i don't wanna go into many preparations when it comes to my wedding, whenever it may be (I may sound old-fashioned, but i belong to the "I-wanna-get-married-after-I-finish-my-studies" type).
Thanks so much for sharing these awesome photos and backstory for your and Adam's wedding! So glad you both had such an amazing time creating and crafting everything for the big day - everything looks gorgeous!! That bouquet IS incredible and all the illustrations and details are seriously fantastic!! Part 1 made me so happy - and can't wait for part 2! Happy honeymooning and best wishes for a lifetime of wedded bliss.
I love love love your wedding and the creative way you approached everything. Those handmade flowers though - a total highlight. A forever bouquet. Wishing you both much happiness. You're doing this right!
That is so cute! You love to see it when fellow artists really get DIY and involved in planning something as momentous and personal such as this. Congratulations to both of you and best wishes!
as someone who is planning their wedding i loved seeing the process of your ideas and vision come to life! especially identify with the seating chart as science project part

It's a good thing you married Adam. Because otherwise, I would have taken him. He is so awesome.
