Highly recommend A Case for Making art supply store in SF! They make their own hand ground/mixed watercolors and they're so luscious. It's an absolute artist's dream. I hope the trip is amazing and best case scenario all around!
Ditto Case for Making, as well as Rare Device, post.script, and Needles & Pens for fun art/gift shops! Palace of Fine Arts is my favorite touristy thing to visit, and a walk around Golden Gate Park is a must too. And please get some burritos in the Mission!
Firstly, congratulations on all your success and happy you are enjoying how far you've come, leisure time and a break! I've not been to SF but it's on my list. I was told that visiting the Giant Camera and Treasure Island are great.

Wow!!! This sounds SO up my alley!! Definitely adding it to the trip
Good opportunity to visit Ding Tai Fung if you’re missing the flavours of home! (You may wanna reserve ahead of time though)
Oh good idea!! They don't have one in NY so it'll be nice to have it again :)
An NYC location is finally opening next year!!
